Welcome to 6 pack of Straits.....Jeff, Kasey, Lily, Abby, Chloe and Lawson. If you told me I would be creating a blog just a few months ago, the answer would have been, no way! The rationale to finally proceed can be explained in a couple of reasons. When Lily was born, I tried to keep a daily log of funny stories, milestones, and her progression. When the twins came along I would go weeks without writing anything down and that idea faded. With 4 kids now, there are so many things we want to remember and share with others that this seems like the perfect format to do so. The second major reason is I believe it will be therapeutic. I do my best to not complain about having 4 kids because I couldn't imagine life without them now, but it tests my patience on a daily if not hourly basis and hopefully this will somehow make me a better husband and father.
The whole thing started close to 10 years ago when I made a complete fool of myself trying to impress a young lady. Kasey and I married April 3, 2004 in Dallas, TX. 7 short years later we have 4 children all under the age of 5, and there is never a dull moment. Eventually everybody will have their own page, but here is quick introduction of the Strait Clan.
Lily McKean was born June 5, 2006. Kasey made sure she was born on the 5th so she would not have to go through life with the stigma of being a 6/6/06 baby. Lily amazes us daily with her sense of humor, and acts so grown up I have to remind myself she is still only 4 years old.
Abigail Claire is the oldest of the blond hair, blue eyed miracle duo by one minute. Abby loves to make people laugh, and is very good at it. She has a very feisty side to her as well, I like to say she gets from her mother.
Chloe Belle was born only one minute later on Jan 27, 2009. Chloe tends to be a little more reserved and calculating. I find it entertaining and take pride in watching her sit back and take in a situation and then react. She has a look that will burn a hole straight through your head if she is not happy with you.
Lawon Rhodes, born 8/12/2010, is my boy. At 8 months old, Lawson Boy has almost surpassed his twin sisters on the scales. My theory has always been a fat baby is a happy baby, and Lawson has proved my theory correct. You could argue he didn't have a choice with 3 sisters, but he has been the best baby and has the most contagious smile.
