Score these for Daddy as well to close out the dual with a sweep 4-0. After some reflection on the past couple of evenings I've come to the conclusion that knowing I was going to write about it has led me to step my game up and make sure the foursome did not get the better of me. The kids deserve some credit too as they really were quite well behaved. The tantrums and arguements were kept to a minimum, and I only had to raise my voice a few times. Note to self: clapping my hands to get the girls attention still scares Lawson.
When either Kasey or I are out of town, it is customary to let Lily get her way and sleep in the Big Bed one night. She knows we always read before falling asleep so she brought several books with her so she could read before falling asleep. Lily asked, "Daddy, you know what side of the bed I'm sleeping on?" I responded, "Mommy's side." Lily quickly corrected, "No, I'm going to sleep on your side so we can cuddle." Though it does make for a long night, she won't always want to cuddle with me. Over breakfast she did apologize for kicking me in the boobalie.
On the way to school, Lily told me that she really loves her Lawson and she thinks he will make a good daddy some day. I asked her how many kids she thought Lawson would have when he becomes a daddy and she told me two. After asking how many she would like to have when she becomes a mommy, she once again responded two. When I further inquired why she would like two kids, she told me "two kids is much better than 4." My girl has a plan.......but first kindergarten.
Daddy vs Kids week has been fun, but everybody is ready for Mommy to come home.......and take over kid duty!
