Strange title, I know, but due to a hail storm last week we have been bombarded with roofing companies knocking on the door, interupting dinners and trying to sell themselves over the next roofer. As a salesman I respect what it take to knock on doors to gain business, but the harder these guys sell the faster I shut the door on them. They have the chutzpah to sell the fact that they can put extra money in my pocket from the insurance company..........uhhhh, ever heard of fraud sir.
Aside from the roofers, today was a pretty good day. Work was slow as my key call for the day cancelled, but it did afford me the opportunity to pick up Lily from school. Picking up Lily is always a treat because she will fill you in on details of the day as they are fresh on her mind. Today I was informed that Old Wesley (there are 2 Wesleys in her class, and New Wesley is the big crush right now) kept trying to kiss her. My first instinct is find the kid and drop kick him, but I maintained my composure. After a few more details from Lily, it sounded pretty harmless. She understands that people are not supposed to kiss until they are married. We're really not that prude, but who am I to tell her differently.
The twins seemed to have a good day too seeing as how they are right in the middle of the terrible 2's. We are so tired of repeating ourselves and listening to the constant whining. I find myself having to just take deep breaths often. I also find myself yelling at times, though we are making a conscious effort to rid the house hold of it. Patience is a virtue.
The boy popped a couple more teeth and it didn't seem to bother him a bit. Lauren (our nanny) noticed them yesterday and I just thought it was food stuck to his gums. He is finding his voice as well and it the girls get to quiet then he chimes in and breaks the silence for us.
If we get a new roof, I may have them build a secret trap door to the roof for Kasey and me to hide out once in a while.
